Après ski!
Chamonix is known as a fun ski resort for après, with a number of lively bars and restaurants often providing live music and DJ’s to enhance the pleasure of a few drinks and socialising after skiing. “Dancing on tables” is not common any more but there is still a wonderful atmosphere throughout the Chamonix estate!
Here are the liveliest bars in the valley…
Chambre Neuf

Le Privilege
For those who prefer dancing to relaxing, Le Privilege is a club that heats up as the evening progresses. It’s centrally located and is known for its upbeat music and lively dance floor in the heart of Chamonix village.
La Yaute Café, Argentière
If you’re skiing in the Grands Montets area, La Yaute Café is the perfect après-ski venue. It’s a laid-back bar with live music, themed parties, and a great selection of drinks.
Les Vieilles Luges, Les Houches
A charming old farm turned into a restaurant, Les Vieilles Luges is a unique après-ski spot. It’s located on the mountain and accessible via a blue run – perfect for a late lunch or early dinner before a moonlit ski or walk down.
Remember, the après-ski culture in Chamonix is as diverse as its ski terrain. There’s something for everyone – from lively bars with live music to quieter spots perfect for a relaxed drink after a day on the slopes. As always, it’s best to check the opening hours and current events directly with the establishments, as they can vary depending on the season and current conditions.
