Chalet Blaitière Mountain sits in the quiet area of Les Bois, close to Les Praz, with a rural outlook and far-reaching views towards the mountains, Mont Blanc included. It’s less than a 5-minute drive, or about a 15-minute walk, to the La Flégère lift, and the charming L’Epicerie grocery and deli in Les Praz is close by, along with the well-regarded restaurant La Cabane des Praz.
Built recently, the chalet takes an open-plan, contemporary twist on the traditional chalet style, with light-filled interiors, cutting-edge décor and up-to-the-minute furnishings. It’s laid out over three floors, with the living and dining areas on the first floor, warmed by a gas stove and framed by those far-reaching views. The kitchen is state-of-the-art, with spacious work surfaces and all the latest gadgets, making cooking here an easy pleasure. A gorgeous balcony and terrace give guests plenty of space to sit outside and take in the scenery, though please note barbecues aren’t permitted here.
There are five bedrooms in total , three or four doubles plus a double/twin, each with its own separate WC, along with two further guest WCs, so mornings are never a bottleneck. Two of the bedrooms have their own dressing rooms, and if you need a fifth bedroom for a group of 10, the cinema room (with its smart TV) converts easily. There’s plenty of storage for ski gear in the entrance hall, boot warmers, and a ski locker in the outside porch, plus a lovely sauna with its own shower, ideal for unwinding after a day on the slopes.
This one suits families or groups of friends who want a contemporary, easy-living base with genuine mountain views, close to Les Praz but still within easy reach of Chamonix itself.
